Bespoke marble furniture begins with a conversation about the room it will live in — its proportions, its light, the way it will be used. Rather than adapting a standard solution, Studio IB Milano develops each commission around the brief — from a blank page, or from a Signature Collection design reworked for the room — so the finished piece feels inevitable in its setting.
Every commission is designer marble furniture in the fullest sense: a form conceived by the studio, refined through drawings and material studies, then realised as a singular object. Clients might commission a dining table for a specific room, a console for an entrance hall, or a series of pieces that carry one material language through an entire interior.

Commissions usually begin from one of these families of pieces. Each can start from a collection design or be drawn from the first sketch, in marble or travertine, and handcrafted in Italy.
Dining tables
Round and oval Italian marble dining tables, with diameter or length, height and stone set for the room.
Coffee & side tables
Low tables such as Rotondo, Infinito and Asimmètrico, scaled to a sofa, a reading corner or an entrance.
Consoles
Equilibrio consoles in oval and round versions, adapted to a hallway, a wall or a living room.
Washbasins & bathrooms
Sculpted washbasins and stone bathroom elements, developed as part of a marble bathroom.
Objects
Bowls, vases, mirrors and glasses that carry the same material language at a smaller scale.
Complete interiors
When furniture is part of a wider project, the studio can design the whole interior around it.
Materials
Stone selection is the first design decision.
Marble, breccia, travertine and other natural stones are chosen block by block, since a sculptural piece is carved from solid stone — often a single block — and the movement and tone within that stone shape the character of the finished object. A honed, polished or brushed finish is then selected to suit the way the piece will be touched, lit and used, so that the stone reads as considered rather than decorative.

Once complete, marble furniture made in Italy by the studio is carefully packed and delivered to private residences, studios and projects internationally, with placement handled with the same attention given to the piece itself.
