The story

Sasso begins with the weight of a single stone. A monolithic base, shaped by hand until its volume feels inevitable, carries a disc of veined marble that appears to float above it. The piece anchors a room the way a boulder anchors a landscape — quietly, permanently.

Form and proportion

Proportion is integral to the design of Sasso. In the listed format — Ø 160–240 × H 74 cm — the design considers the relationship between the sculptural base, the top and the footprint the table establishes within a room. The breccia marble and honed or polished finish are not additions to the form: they make its volumes, surfaces and the natural movement of the stone legible.
