Full interior design for apartments, houses and villas, from spatial planning to the final selection of furniture and finishes.

Interior design studio in Milan
Studio IB Milano designs private residences, retail spaces and hospitality interiors from Milan, working closely with architects and clients to shape rooms built around natural stone, proportion and light.
A Milanese approach
Studio IB Milano is a design atelier based in Milan, founded by Ina Borisova to bring a sculptural, material-led approach to interior design. Every project begins with the architecture of the space and the life it needs to hold, rather than with a fixed style to apply.
As a luxury interior design studio, we work across private residences, retail environments and hospitality interiors, often for architects and interior designers who bring us in for material expertise, bespoke furniture and a considered spatial vision. Clients also include private collectors and galleries commissioning individual pieces for a specific room.

The offer
Our high-end interior design service in Milan covers the full arc of a project, from the first sketch to the final installation, with marble and natural stone as a recurring thread.
Full interior design for apartments, houses and villas, from spatial planning to the final selection of furniture and finishes.
Concept and detailing for flagship stores and showrooms, where display and architecture are designed as one composition.
Interiors for boutique hotels, lounges and hospitality spaces that need to feel calm, distinctive and built to last.
Working alongside architecture and design practices on material selection, bespoke furniture and interior detailing within a wider project.
A single point of responsibility from early concept and 2D/3D design through to production, delivery and on-site installation.
Guidance on marble, stone and finishes, paired with custom furniture designed specifically for the room it will occupy.

Materials
Luxury marble interiors are rarely a matter of choosing a beautiful slab and hoping it works. We select stone alongside the architectural drawings, considering how veining will run across a kitchen island, a bathroom wall or a custom console, and how it will read in the light of that specific room.
Alongside marble, we work with plaster, timber, brass and textiles, always chosen to support the stone rather than compete with it, so that each interior feels coherent rather than assembled from separate decisions.
The process
Understanding the space, the client's life within it and the practical constraints of the project.
Spatial planning, mood and material direction, developed through drawings and 3D visualisation.
Choosing marble, stone and finishes with the drawings and lighting already in mind.
Designing custom pieces and details that complete the interior language of the space.
Craftsmanship carried out by specialist Italian artisans, followed by delivery and on-site installation.
Selected work
A selection of residential, retail and hospitality interiors designed by Studio IB Milano, each built around a particular stone, space and client.
Made in Italy
Every interior we design is produced in collaboration with specialist Italian artisans and stone workshops, many working with techniques passed down over generations. This is what allows a custom console, a stone staircase detail or a bespoke kitchen island to be realised with real precision.
While the studio is based in Milan, our projects are not limited to Italy. We regularly work with private clients, architects and interior designers on commissions abroad, coordinating design, production and installation from a single studio.

Questions
Both. Many of our interior design projects begin as a collaboration with an architecture or design practice that needs material expertise and bespoke furniture, while others come directly from private clients, hospitality operators or galleries.
We design private residences, retail and boutique environments, and hospitality interiors such as hotels and lounges. Each project is treated individually rather than through a fixed template.
Both are possible. Some clients ask us to design a complete interior from concept to installation, while others bring us in for a single space, such as a kitchen, bathroom or entrance, or for a specific bespoke piece.
Yes. Bespoke furniture is often central to our interior design work, designed specifically for its room in marble or natural stone and produced by specialist Italian artisans alongside the wider project.
Yes. While the studio is based in Milan and our craftsmanship is Italian, we regularly design and deliver interiors for private clients internationally, coordinating production and installation remotely.
