The story

Rotondo is a study in circles: a wide, gently curved top resting on two cylindrical volumes, each cut from a single block of veined Carrara marble. Two raised discs rise from the surface like small islands — handles, coasters and sculpture at once — turning a low table into a quiet architectural gesture.

Form and proportion

Proportion is integral to the design of Rotondo. In the listed format — Ø 110 × H 35 cm — the design considers the low proportion, the carved volume and the way the table relates to nearby seating. The carrara marble and honed finish are not additions to the form: they make its volumes, surfaces and the natural movement of the stone legible.

For a bespoke version, diameter and height, stone selection, surface discs and honed or polished finish can be considered together. The conversation begins with the space and desired proportion, then develops through dialogue, drawing and proportion studies in close exchange with the workshop. Each choice is treated as part of one composition, allowing the piece to respond to its setting without losing the gesture that defines Rotondo.
