The story

Uovo is a mirror reduced to its purest form: a thick, softly irregular ring of veined marble, turned and polished until its face reflects the room like still water. The stone frame gives the mirror the presence of a wall-bound sculpture — quiet, circular, permanent.

Form and proportion

Proportion is integral to the design of Uovo. In the listed format — Ø 80–110 × D 5 cm — the design considers the diameter, the depth of the stone frame and the object’s presence on the wall. The arabescato marble and high gloss polished finish are not additions to the form: they make its volumes, surfaces and the natural movement of the stone legible.

For a bespoke version, diameter, stone selection, frame thickness and polished or honed finish can be considered together. The conversation begins with the space and desired proportion, then develops through dialogue, drawing and proportion studies in close exchange with the workshop. Each choice is treated as part of one composition, allowing the piece to respond to its setting without losing the gesture that defines Uovo.
