The story

Equilibrio balances glass against stone: a fine crystal bowl rests on a stem of stacked spheres turned from solid marble. Two materials, one gesture of equilibrium — at once a drinking vessel and a small sculpture for the table.

Form and proportion

Proportion is integral to the design of Equilibrio. In the listed format — H 16 × Ø 9 cm — the design considers the object’s scale, its carved volume and the relationship between the stone and the surface on which it is placed. The glass and calacatta marble and polished finish are not additions to the form: they make its volumes, surfaces and the natural movement of the stone legible.

For a bespoke version, stone selection, set size, height of stem and finish can be considered together. The conversation begins with the space and desired proportion, then develops through dialogue, drawing and proportion studies in close exchange with the workshop. Each choice is treated as part of one composition, allowing the piece to respond to its setting without losing the gesture that defines Equilibrio.
