The story

Equilibrio is a study in poise: a wide round top of Calacatta Viola rests on a base of stacked spheres and a rounded dome, each element balanced precisely on the one beneath. A slender amber glass vessel rises through the centre — weight above lightness, stillness above movement — a console that holds the room like a held breath.

Form and proportion

Proportion is integral to the design of Equilibrio. In the listed format — Ø 90 × H 85 cm — the design considers the relationship between the supporting structure, the top and the console’s presence along a wall. The calacatta viola and polished finish are not additions to the form: they make its volumes, surfaces and the natural movement of the stone legible.

For a bespoke version, diameter and height, stone selection, vessel in stone or glass and polished or honed finish can be considered together. The conversation begins with the space and desired proportion, then develops through dialogue, drawing and proportion studies in close exchange with the workshop. Each choice is treated as part of one composition, allowing the piece to respond to its setting without losing the gesture that defines Equilibrio.
